“We first heard about Tom (San Diego Mac Tutor) from a friend, who said Tom would come to our home and work with us one on one. We needed help setting up Leopard and adding Time Machine to our wireless system, plus other things we didn't know how to do.
I might explain that we are of the generation that knows computers change your life as they make things easier, we just don't know how to make them do what they need to do.
A short time later Tom was in our living room, he didn't work on one or two computers but three at a time! During his work he answered our endless questions. Never did he talk above our heads or make us feel our questions weren't important ones.
Tom stayed with us most of the day which I know he hadn't planned on; never did I get the feeling he was anxious to leave.
Since his visit we have contacted Tom via email and telephone. Tom is easily accessible and if he can't work with us at the moment, he schedules a time to call back. This is the great part....He actually DOES call back when he is supposed to and takes care of the problem.”

“Thank you so much for all your assistance. Your expertise is great! I was about ready to throw my lap top over the bluff and into the ocean, but then you taught Mitch and I how to use and operate all the programs on our Mac, as well getting our wireless network solved. You have our highest recommendations - you are very intelligent with the Mac and very great to work with.”

“I highly recommend Tom Lambotte - the San Diego Mac Tutor. I am the Sales and Marketing Director for Gobanc Credit Restoration. He did an excellent job of designing Mac hardware and software solutions for my business needs. I have always preferred the Mac computer platform over the PC platform for my personal use, but had thought that the Apple Mac systems were tailored towards the needs and culture of artists and students, instead of business users. Tom recommended and implemented a very effective, easy to use direct marketing program that enables me to send personalized e-mails to my customers with high quality graphics, as well as Daylite, excellent business management software, which handles contact management, email integration, and most importantly keeps me organized and frees my mind of clutter. Thanks to Tom, it all works, in a great Mac way.”

"The San Diego Mac Tutor got my home-office wireless network up and running despite a complex combination of old and new hardware. His persistence and resourcefulness were key to his solving a problem that no one else had been able to solve. I now consider Tom a resource for my consulting practice, much as I do the network he set up."

"I am an entrepreneur and have have a home based businesses. This year I bought the new iMac and left the store scratching my head on a number of issues. I was referred to Craigslist and saw Tom's ad and called him for assistance that same day. His fees were very reasonable and he was very courteous on the phone. First of all, his rapid response was so welcome as I had been stuck with some issues that were preventing the growth of my business. Tom went through my list of needs and was able to deal with them all. I am feeling 100% supported by Tom and know that his expertise which surpassed my expectations will be the single most important part of the growth of my business in 2008. Tom releases the challenge and puts the fun back into Mac! I would recommend him to anyone who has a Mac computer."

"I had given up on my dead 60GB iPod Photo for months (the Apple warranty on it was out and the only option they gave was a third party who would charge over $100 just to look at it). I found Tom (the san diego mac tutor), gave him a call and we met up. I gave him a dead iPod, and less than a week later he returned it to me fixed and good to go. But he does much more than fix iPods. so next time I have any kind of Mac issue, I'm calling him up. Oh, and he's really nice, to boot."

"Just a quick note on how very pleased I have been with all the help you have given me in the set up of my new Mac. You made the transfer quickly and efficiently, adding helpful tips and ideas along the way. I look forward to more sessions to learn more about the Mac. As a small business owner, time is extremely important to me. Learning these skills one on one, and in my own office has been a huge plus. Your knowledge of the Mac will bring you much success, Thanks for all your help,"

"I was a PC user for forever and recently switched to a Mac and was daunted by it. I actually likened it to learning Portuguese, having had no clue on how to make this work for me, to the point where I actually put my Mac on Craig's List less than a month after I bought it, because I felt it was just a lost cause. Believe it or not I Googled for help in a last desperate attempt to make this work and there was Tom! I contacted him, we had one very long first meeting with live video (amazing) and worked out a few of my biggest problems. When I began to see what this system could do I was truly amazed! I am still in my infancy on learning the in's and out's but knowing that Tom is there to help me to become more productive than even I ever dreamed with my Mac. I am beyond grateful for having him help me see the light and not give up on this incredibly intuitive system."

"In my first appointment with Tom I found him to be very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, on time for the appointment and interested in teaching me what I needed to learn. Tom also offered to help me in purchasing and setting up my new computer. (I use my daughters now). Tom offers and is there for me when I need help and tech support. I would recommend him highly for teaching anybody about Apple computers. Tom is the guy you want to call."

"In theory, if a person bought a new Macintosh and started from scratch using its great tools, things may be very simple and easy. If, on the other hand, a person had accumulated a decade's worth of knowledge on a PC, it may not be very easy. My needs fell in the latter category. Once I opened up my new iMac with the 10.4 operating system, I was able to transfer some key documents using a hard drive. But from there, I found that my email and Internet Explorer were not to easy to migrate to the iMac.
I did a simple on-line search for knowledgeable instructors in the San Diego area. I was not able to find any listings so I emailed Tom at his Santa Cruz location, primarily to ask if he knew anyone in the local San Diego area to help me. Tom quickly and confidently explained to me that he could do it. I guessed that I did not have much to loose. Tom started by doing his own searches then asking me logical questions about the systems I was using (Internet connection, PC operating system, etc.). After that, he called me and we embarked on a very logical/effective trip. During the optimization process, Tom maintained his composure (not an easy thing to do with me) and provided specific and effective solutions for me. While we were doing the process, Tom was also searching for key references on tasks that we had not started so his multitasking abilities were very evident. Since we finished our session, a couple of hours ago, I have been doing the tasks that I needed to do on the iMac. My email and Internet connections are perfect. I can access my files. As a result of Tom's effort, I am now more effective in doing my work on the iMac. In addition, Tom volunteered many suggestions (tricks, etc.) for continuing my future activities on the iMac.
In summary, I found Tom to be a perfect person to help me with my iMac needs. As issues arise that I cannot solve alone, Tom will be the first resource I choose. Over the years, I have used many IT people and Tom ranks within the top few I have ever hired."
